Takashi Homma: BTS
| Availability: | In stock |
In BTS – Behind the Scenes, Takashi Homma turns his attention to the subtle acts of covering, shielding, and concealing that shape everyday life. Shot primarily in Tokyo, with images from Colombia, Hawaii, and elsewhere, the book brings together scenes of wrapped objects, obscured surfaces, and figures partially hidden from view.
Cars under protective covers, trees wrapped against the elements, shuttered windows, and bodies layered in clothing appear throughout, forming a quiet visual language of protection and deferral. Across these images, Homma traces a recurring gesture of preservation and withdrawal, where what is visible often points toward what remains concealed.
Rather than offering resolution, BTS lingers in these in-between states, observing a world that seems to be constantly preparing, holding, or withholding, unfolding just out of sight.
