Sergio, the camera and me

​​Sergio, the Camera and Me is an editorial project about three moments of the photographic production of Sergio Trujillo Dávila, traversed by a search of ambiguous images, both formally and conceptually dark. "Me" in the title alludes to a set of black and white self portraits in which the photographer intervenes and dismembers his body, this series culminates with a four-channel audiovisual installation entitled Self-visual, which is related to Trujillo's job as publicist. The "camera" in the name refers to one of his best known series entitled Walls, a mandatory record of political advertising posted on the streets of Bogotá, which the photographer uses to create photo murals with geometric compositions in which deforms the body of the politicians. Finally the book includes a series of family portraits during everyday situations that Trujillo subverts to create ominous scenes.

Sergio, la cámara y yo 

Sergio, la cámara y yo es un proyecto editorial sobre tres momentos de la producción fotográfica de Sergio Trujillo Dávila, atravesados por una búsqueda de imágenes oscuras, tanto a nivel formal como conceptual. "Yo" en el título alude a un conjunto de autorretratos en blanco y negro en los que el fotógrafo interviene y desmembra su cuerpo, esta serie culmina con una instalación audiovisual de cuatro canales titulada Autovisual, la cual tiene relación con el trabajo de Trujillo como publicista. La "cámara" en el título hace referencia a una de sus series más conocidas titulada Muros, un registro exhaustivo de publicidad política colocado en las calles de Bogotá, que el fotógrafo utiliza para crear fotomurales con composiciones geométricas en las que deforma el cuerpo de los políticos. Finalmente, el libro incluye una serie de retratos familiares durante situaciones cotidianas que Trujillo subvierte para crear escenas ominosas.
