Yurie Nagashima: SWISS

This is the third edition of Yurie Nagashima's photobook "Swiss", published in 2024.

Originally published in 2010, "Swiss" consists of photographs, texts, and experiences taken by Japanese photographer Yurie Nagashima in 2007 during an artist residency at Laboratoire Village Nomade in Switzerland. Inspired by a box of flower photographs taken by her late grandmother more than twenty-five years earlier, she created a complex and touching essay composed of photographs, writings, illustrations, and mementos such as facsimiles of train tickets, book clippings, and handwritten notes, touching on themes of loneliness and motherhood.
