214: Touch
| Availability: | In stock |
Touch brings together photographs made over more than a decade by Chinese photographer 214, unfolding as an intimate reflection on sensation, memory, and the physical experience of being alive. Moving between gestures of closeness and distance, the images linger on fragments of everyday life, moments where touch becomes both emotional and material.
Throughout the book, photography is approached less as documentation than as a way of resisting disappearance and holding onto fleeting sensations that language struggles to describe. Hands touching rain, bodies meeting surfaces, small encounters with the world, all accumulate into a quiet meditation on intimacy, time, and perception.
Working under the name 214, the artist has developed a diaristic photographic practice centered on observation, affect, and everyday experience. Their work often moves between personal archive and poetic reflection, using photography as a way to register subtle emotional states and transient moments.
