Graphic 51: Art Book Fair, Now
| Availability: | In stock |
This issue of Graphic considers the art book fair as a contemporary exhibitionary and discursive space, operating at the intersection of publishing, circulation, and community. Structured through interviews with organisers from 32 art book fairs across different geographies, the publication assembles a distributed portrait of the field as it exists today.
Bringing together voices from platforms such as the New York Art Book Fair, Miss Read, Bergen Art Book Fair, Taipei Art Book Fair, Cairo Art Book Fair, the African Art Book Fair, and Tokyo Art Book Fair, among others, the issue traces both shared conditions and site-specific dynamics. Across these conversations, recurring questions emerge around sustainability, access, scale, and the evolving role of the fair within broader cultural infrastructures.
Rather than presenting a singular narrative, Graphic 51 functions as a collective inquiry into the current state of art book fairs, foregrounding them as critical nodes within contemporary publishing, spaces where modes of production, distribution, and exchange are continuously negotiated.
