Deep Blue unfolds as a revisitation of a personal archive, bringing together instant photographs taken during a first encounter with New York City in 2010. Fragments of the city, late walks, and fleeting relationships are held as traces of a moment shaped by discovery and distance.
The title, drawn from a song by Arcade Fire, situates the work within a broader reflection on memory and return. Printed fifteen years later, the images shift from immediate record to mediated recollection, where time reframes both the city and the experience of it.
Produced in risograph, the publication emphasizes this translation, with tonal variations and material qualities that echo the instability of memory and the act of looking back.
