Wayne Large: Punks 1978–1980

Punks 1978–1980 by Wayne Large is a photographic zine published by Café Royal Books, bringing together street portraits of the British punk scene at the end of the 1970s. Photographing young people in the places where they gathered, Large approached his subjects directly, often stopping to talk with them before taking their portraits. The resulting images offer an intimate glimpse into punk identity, personal style, and youth culture during a formative period for the movement in Britain.
