His long-term personal projects and commissions are published in \u003ci\u003eTIME\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eNational Geographic\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eThe Atlantic\u003c\/i\u003e, and \u003ci\u003eThe New Yorker \u003c\/i\u003eamong others. He received grants from the Prince Claus Fund, Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting, and the IDFA Bertha Fund. Recent shows have been at SFO Museum(San Francisco), Fotomuseum Den Haag, Hamburger Bahnhof (Berlin), Museum für Angewandte Kunst (Frankfurt).
