Alex Cheung: Same Sky Postcards

Same Sky Postcards is a reproduction of a collection of postcards originally published by Dexter Press that contained the same sky and clouds. Likely a photo retouching decision done to replace the original film photo’s less colorful or uninteresting sky, these postcards draw a visual line between otherwise disconnected businesses and locations.

Original scans used with permission from James Brouwer. Inspired by “The mystery of the same sky postcards” by Coleman Lowndes.
